As I reflect on what I love so much about being an entrepreneur, I realize that my reasons for choosing business ownership 10 years ago over a job…are the same reasons I have for staying self-employed.

That’s because it boils down to a few key values:  FUN, FREEDOM and FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITY.

    Would love to have heard the video but with both my computer and the video turned up to 11 I could still barely hear a murmur. Any chance of adjusting it on your end Carolyn? I agree on having Fun as a value, though! It shapes all my coaching and so my clients really get engaged in their progress.

      The value of values in selling

      This month marks my tenth year of being in business for myself. As I reflect on what I love so much about being an entrepreneur, I realize that what my reasons were 10 years ago for choosing business ownership over a job…and what my reasons are today for staying self-employed… are the same.

      That’s because it boils down to a few key values: FUN, FREEDOM and FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITY

      These values permeate my business because I want to work with people who value the same things.

      And they show up in my business in all sorts of places… like my tagline which is “the one true path to money and freedom” and are at the root of every video I make for you each week.

      As I prepare for my upcoming SELL event, I recognize how much I focus on bringing fun to you during this one-day event. Not only is fun created through humor, it’s also created through experience, engagement and application.

      So much of what we’ll be doing that day is experiential because rather than just understanding concepts intellectually… I want you to actually “get it” so you can apply it immediately. This doesn’t work by me just lecturing.

      And when you apply it, you make more money and enjoy more freedom. See how that works?

      I love the story of Debra who attended my SELL event in Mpls in April who closed a $10,000 deal that day by applying something she had learned from me that morning.

      Just one example of a hands-on activity that we’ll be doing in the SELL event – rests in this little deck of cards that I’ve had specially made for helping you understand how knowing your ideal client’s values tie into the decision they make to work… or not work with you.

      This stuff gets me so excited because I know I’ll be seeing lightbulbs going on all day because that’s what happens when I do these things.

      Hopefully you’ll be coming to the SELL event so you “get it” from me live… but if you can’t make it, I want you look at how well you’re tuned into your clients values… and how that shows up in your sales conversations with them to increase the likelihood of them working with you.

    that I feel I might never understand. It sort of feels too complicated and extremely wide for
